As I’m becoming more confident with things, I find it wonderful to share information and trivia with all of you fabulous people out there. So here’s another round of hopefully interesting facts about me.
- Both my brother and I were born three weeks early.
- Lofty or lanky was a common nickname for me in school, owing to my height.
- I was always known when I was a kid for being the one who never swore. Man, how times have changed.
- I’m currently single, so ladies I’m all yours.
- I find Italian and Spanish to be the sexiest accents.
- I hope in the future a cure is found for cancer and all other disease.

I quite like the French accent too. And the Geordie one is fine.

Nice random facts mate. Any reason for those, or just general info? I would never be called ‘lofty’ as I am only 5’7″. 🙂
I’m with FR on a nice Geordie accent too.
Cheers, Pete.

Just general info, Pete. 5ft 7 is not small. I went through a growth spurt and ended up at 6ft 2.

I don’t know about my accent, I don’t think mine is anything that special. I come from a tall family, so I don’t think I was ever going to be pint sized.

As for the accent, I’m partial to a US southern accent or a South African accent. I dated a South African field hockey player when I was in college. Whew! She rocked my world. 😃

It’s always nice to learn new things about one of the bloggers that I have so much respect for. Having lost quite a few people to cancer, I could not agree with you more on that last one. It is a truly terrible disease. It’s great that you share these things with us, and as far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with your confidence. Nor should there be, as you are an awesome guy! 😀

I think I win, in a way, in terms of being born early. I was born at 25 weeks (Born in early August, supposed to arrive mid-November). Oops. My mom was not happy! I’m technically not supposed to be here. I guess I’ve always been impatient? Haha.
I’m with you – I never swore as a kid. I was so uncomfortable with one of my friends in high school that I pulled him aside and asked him, nicely, to stop saying the word fuck every two words. It worked, and he was much more respectful after that. Now, I’m not bothered by it one bit. College erased my naivete.

Interesting facts from your life. I was born about three weeks early myself. My lungs did not completely “open”, but thankfully, they “opened” completely a bit later 🙂 That means I would not have survived before, say in the middle ages, because they would not have had the technology to keep me alive and feed me with a tube ))
Great thought on the cure for all the diseases. I, myself, is more of a pessimist. I think when the cure is found for the diseases we have, new diseases will appear without cures. Oh, well.

Thanks for sharing those interesting facts about yourself. I too was a premature baby and both my mother and I nearly died. I was six months in an incubater before I was finally released. Being in 1963 that was quite a feat back then. In school I was always bullied for not having the growth spurt everyone else was having. I didn’t get that until after I had graduated high school. As for swearing I would just say it in French as I went to an English school most didn’t get it. Keep on blogging. Always enjoy what you do.
