As we edge closer towards Halloween, I was wondering what everyone is doing for it. For me, I’ll be relaxing with sweets and horror movies.
I recently came across The Darling Buds of May airing again on television. And while I wasn’t born when the show was originally on, I remember as a kid upon seeing it developing a crush on a young Catherine Zeta-Jones. I mean just look at her;
And this got me thinking about movie and television crushes we have over the years. So who for you is a crush from movie or television? It can be a recent crush or one from years ago.
More of mine include;
- The four Charmed Ones in Charmed
- Buffy Summers
- Jennifer Garner
- Jennifer Lopez
- Gemma Atkinson
As anyone who reads my blog regularly knows, I’m a big champion of women. Especially when it comes to movies; I really like bringing to attention movies directed by ladies. There are so many fine movies directed by women to speak of that I decided to glean the thoughts of everyone else. So which movies directed by women are your favourites? I’m very much looking forward to your responses.
I just picked up a television listings and have been scouring to see what is on over this festive period. Which sparked my curiosity about what you all will be watching. Is there anything specific you always watch every Christmas? Or is it the luck of the draw.
The weather where I am has been pretty bad, with almost non stop rain. Whenever it is a dat like this, I busy myself with thoughts regarding media, movies and television. Today my mind came on the trends in movie and television that are growing tiresome. For me, reality TV is a real drag as I find it false and overly manufactured. But what trend in movies and television is getting a bit old hat or pointless to you? Hopefully this image of me contemplating helps.
After the fine response to my last royalty post, I thought it good to feature another one. Historical drama can sometimes feel too formal, which is why I’m sure things are often sexed up. And sometimes it is in keeping with various scandals of history involving royalty, which is even more fun. So which depictions of real life monarchy where the sexiest for you on television of in film. I have a feeling The Tudors is going to get a deserved mention.
And on a related note and after discussion with the fabulous Gill, I think that I should host a blogathon on celluloid versions of monarchy. Royalty in movie and television should make for fine posts. At the moment, I’m busy but in the nearby future, I promise to do a blogathon.
Anyone who knows me well, will be aware of my passion for history. It presents such interesting subjects and is amazing to read how times have changed over centuries. The monarchs of old always got my interest for their power and majesty, which has been presented many times on television or film. So which depiction of famous monarchy is your favourite? There’s a good many to take cues from and I may just discover some I wasn’t aware of yet. Below is a video with some suggestions.
I’ve had such fun with these kinds of posts in the past that I wanted to bring them back. So feel free to ask me anything, well almost anything as long as it isn’t horrible or offensive. Movie related or just life related, I’m open for questioning. Ask away my fellow friends.
