Over the years of blogging, I’ve seen many bloggers do questionnaires for their followers, revolving around a number of different topics. So I thought it was about time, I did a questionnaire for my followers of random questions. Some of them will be film related, some could be naughty and some could be intriguing. Here goes nothing:
- Which film would you hate to see remade?
- Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
- What is your favourite sex position?
- What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
- Do you believe in reincarnation?
- What do you think is your best feature?
- What is your favourite curse word?
- What for you makes a good movie?
- Have you ever skinny dipped before?
- And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog?
Don’t worry, if you don’t want to take part I won’t be offended. And if you don’t want to answer certain questions, that’s fine by me there is no obligation to answer anything you don’t want to talk about. So feel free to answer the questions in as much detail as you want in the comments or perhaps in a post on your site. I have a feeling this post will generate a good response.

1. Nothing. I always think a different view on a film is interesting. Even if it’s terrible, it wont take anything away from the original.
2. Many of them are. They really gotta stop focusing on baiting people by giving everything away and start focusing on ways to show off what the film is about without ruining it, which is what a trailer should be.
3. Many factors go into what the best position is, including partner and location.
4. Tomb Raider. My love for Angelina Jolie started there.
5. In some ways I’d like to, but I think it would get boring after a few goes round. I’m open to may beliefs, can’t know anything for certain to I settle for many maybes.
6. Definitely my sarcasm.
7. They are all so wonderful and versatile, I couldn’t possibly narrow it down to just one. I guess variations of ‘fuck’ are my most commonly used ones.
8. Intense emotions. I don’t particularly care what emotions, be it joy or fear or mushy lovey dovey crap, whatever it is, as long as I feel something strongly then it’s done a good job. Even if I intensely despise it, because if it’s a bad film them I will just be very bored and neutral. but if I hate it, then it obviously did something to get to me, which is far better than doing nothing at all.
9. Yes. Terrible idea. Probably better in summer than winter.
10. Gore and guts. Who doesn’t love a good slasher?

This was a popular post, V. Here are my answers, bearing in mind my age…
1) I hate all remakes as a rule. (There are some exceptions) But I have a bad feeling that some smart-arse is going to take on ‘Leon’, and completely fuck it up.
2) Trailers have always shown the best bits, even when I was very young. I try to avoid watching them.
3) A BJ of course. I have never had a bad one, (so far) and satisfaction is guaranteed every time!
4) ‘Pandora’s Box’. (1929) I have been lusting after Louise Brooks ever since.
5) No. I don’t believe in anything religious or spiritual.
6) I have to go with my legs. The rest of me has collapsed but they look pretty good, and still work!
7) I am known to frequently utter “For Fuck’s sake!” (Often about remakes…See Q1)
8) Probably if it is made in a foreign language…Most of my favourites are from abroad.
9) I stripped off in the sea in Crete once, with my ex-wife. And yes, we had a fiddle…
10) Less bums, more films?

5. Not sure
6. Gosh…I don’t know…
7. I don’t have a favourite…the F one slips out in English. However, the Swiss-German words are much more expressive.
8. That’s a tricky one hmmm…it can’t underestimate the intelligence of the viewer, needs decent actors and a good story that is satisfactorily resolved. I do need a positive (not necessarily happy) ending.
9. Yes!
10. Just keep doing what you’re doing with the film reviews! They’re great. But, blogs are about the people behind them and therefore whatever you feel like at the time will be great.

Which film would you hate to see remade?
Any movie that got it right the first time(2016 Ghostbusters and 2004 Dawn of the Dead were good, but really didn’t have to be there)
Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
There used to be an artform to trailers to get people into cinemas. Christopher Nolan and David Fincher are the few that tease the audience to see their films.
What is your favourite sex position?
Doggy while I’m pulling my girl’s hair and smacking her…oh was that too much info.
What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
Career Opportunities. Jennifer Connoley ontop of that hobby horse . BOING. Or maybe I have an attraction to hobby horses. I may have to get back to you on that.
Do you believe in reincarnation?
If I can come back as that hobby horse, I sure as hell do.
What do you think is your best feature?
Physical or personality, because if it’s the first. I would have to say my hands. people have said Im good at giving massages. I’m easy going, care free, and don’t let shit bother me.
What is your favourite curse word?
Of all the fucking times of all the fucking days in all the fucking years. You haft to ask this one fucking question to know what my favorite fucking curse word is. Fuck, man I don’t know what to say. I think I’m going to go with Trump.
What for you makes a good movie?
Passion ,originality, oh and if all else fails. Graphic nudity
Have you ever skinny dipped before?
Yes and I slipped and fell before I could jump in, burning my bum on the tile floor
And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog?
Keep covering whatever you want to. Maybe you could highlight a site that you enjoy reading and let your readers know about that one.

Which film would you hate to see remade?
– Any of them. There are too many remakes now as it is. Move on, people. Get some original ideas!
Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
– Sometimes, for sure. Shorter trailers are better.
What is your favourite sex position?
– All of them!
What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
– Pick any Scarlett Johannson film.
Do you believe in reincarnation?
– Nope.
What do you think is your best feature?
– My dad jokes.
What is your favourite curse word?
– I’ve gotten reasonably good at not swearing too much, with small kids in the house.
What for you makes a good movie?
– Anything that lets me get lost in it. If distracting/poor actors, bad plot, improbable events, any other of a zillion faux pas make me realize I’m watching a show, I lose interest.
Have you ever skinny dipped before?
– Sure.
And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog?
– You should watch some Kurosawa films and review them. They’re my faves and I think you’d really dig the cinematography and the scale on which he operated.

Ran is incredible. That’s a great first one to see! Never seen King Lear quite so awesome before. 😉
Here’s a plan: Set aside an evening (207 minutes = 3 hours 27 minutes!), make sure you have refreshments and no need to move off the couch for that whole time, and no distractions. Seriously, no pausing the movie for anything! Unplug your phone, hole up in front of your TV… then watch Seven Samurai. Oh man. OH MAN! One of the greatest EVER.

Q: Which film would you hate to see remade?
A: “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” – untouchable
Q: Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
A: No, I don’t think so. Sure, a lot can be revealed but a film can still deliver plenty of surprises
Q: What is your favourite sex position?
A: Well, I can’t speak from experience but reverse cowgirl looks pretty awesome 😝
Q: What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
A: “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”; started off a huge crush on Heather Graham
Q: Do you believe in reincarnation?
A: No
Q: What do you think is your best feature?
A: Probably my nose; inherited from my father, it’s quite big with a bump in the middle. A Roman Nose – a sign of leadership, apparently.
Q: What is your favourite curse word?
A: Got to be the F word. It’s standard and so adaptable. Also, many people can’t stand the C word, but I kind of like it.
Q: What for you makes a good movie?
A: A strong foundation – a solid script
Q: Have you ever skinny dipped before?
A: Yes, though it was for a few seconds, there was no one else there and I stayed in the corner of the pool at all times!
Q: And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog?
A: Agree with previous comment, can’t go wrong with Kurosawa!

1) I’m generally pretty open to remakes as a concept, if they do something new with it. It’s the lack of originality that does them in. That said, Se7en is perfect, and you just know if they’d remade it they’d actually show what’s in the box.
2) I love a good trailer, but some definitely go too far.
3) After seeing the Kama Sutra positions they did on The Americans, I feel under-qualified to comment.
4) Generally, “whatever I last watched” is a good answer to this!
5) Sadly not.
6) I’m impressed by my own puns. I’m not sure anyone else is.
7) Obviously “fuck” is super versatile. I’m quite fond of muttering “Christ on a bike”, though. Not sure where that comes from!
8) Commitment to what it’s doing. That’s why ‘trashy’ movies can be better than worthy ones, because they accept what they are and go for it.
9) I honestly can’t remember. Guess that count as no.
10) Keep on truckin’ 👍

Great Questionnaire!!!
1. I don’t think any film should be remade.
2. Yes. I think a trailer should short, and only show enough to tease an audience to watch the film. Batman V Superman was the ultimate disaster trailer. It showed far too much of the film.
3. Tied to the bed, blindfolded, gagged with a battery charger attached to my nipples…too much? haha!
4. Soooooo many films!
5. I’m open to anything really. I don’t live my life with a set of beliefs. But I’m up for coming back as a cat!
6. My enormous … intellect!
7. I say “Ooya bastard!” and “fucks sake” a lot.

Doing this from phone so can’t remmeber all the questions so will answer the ones I remember. Seriously, your comments list is awesome. I’ll get more organised for next time. I hate how much trailers give away. Such an extent I don’t mind missing them. I’d hate to see Bridge on the River Kwai remade, but if they ever did The Godfather it would feel like the end of movies. A great premise. For me that’s what it all comes down to.

Which film would you hate to see remade? The big Spielberg Films. Honestly I don’t care too much about studios wasting millions on remakes, although I find many of them unnecessary. I won’t watch them unless I’m really curious.
Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much? Not necessarily, although some of the trailers from the 80’s did exactly that! My beef is with the amount of trailers and teasers and teaser trailers that are released to create hype. They really overwhelm me and make me not want to watch some films.
What movie made you fancy one of its stars? Sandra Bullock in SPEED. Although then I turned out to be gay, so who knows what that was about..
Do you believe in reincarnation? I don’t think so.
What do you think is your best feature? My mind.
What is your favourite curse word? Fuck is very versatile, and probably my favourite.
What for you makes a good movie? Intrigue.
Have you ever skinny dipped before? No 😦
And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog? I like your film reviews, although I only read the ones referring to films I’ve already seen. I’m a bit of a traveler so I would be keen to know a bit more about your surroundings, or places you have visited. I’ve been to London once, and I also visited Salisbury to see Stonehenge, and Thorpe Park for a day, though I don’t know if you’re near any of those.

Ugh, so many! I have to say I wasn’t looking forward to Pete’s Dragon. I’m still not, but I did hear it was good so I might have to go check it out. Also, if anyone dares make another Cinderella I might lose my mind. In my opinion, nothing tops Ever After.
Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
Yes! But I do think trailers are getting better at making movies more exciting. They just need to take out every spoiler.
What is your favourite sex position?
HAHAHA! Depends on the mood.
What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
Not a movie, but Smallville. Tom welling all the way.
Do you believe in reincarnation?

What do you think is your best feature?

What is your favourite curse word?

Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much? Yes. Show us enough to get us interested, but then save the best for the movie!
What movie made you fancy one of its stars? Robert Downey Jr. in “Iron Man”; he became my favorite actor after that movie
What do you think is your best feature? My willingness to listen to others
What for you makes a good movie? Favorite type of movie is sci-fi with great characters and a thought-provoking or inspiring theme

May I barge in to answer since I find some questions interesting?
Which film would you hate to see remade? – I’ve heard they are thinking of remaking Hitchcock’s the Birds (1963) with Naomi Watts – my despair does not have an end.
Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much? – Absolutely, the recent trailer to Inferno is a main example, but things can go even further. Dream House (2011) with Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz is THE movie which has been spoiled by a trailer by revealing EVERY twist and turn there is possible to reveal.
What is your favourite sex position? – Omg, I cannot believe I see this question here 🙂
What movie made you fancy one of its stars? I have this soft spot for Alec Baldwin in the Getaway (1994) *blushing*
Do you believe in reincarnation? – I want to believe, it will be pretty cool.
What do you think is your best feature? My legs 🙂
What is your favourite curse word? – Damnation! – no one uses it apart from me.
What for you makes a good movie? – I think a good movie connects with the audience well – it has a fascinating story, good acting and actors’ chemistry, and there is a good attempt at emotional connection or mental stimulation. Anything goes, but it should make one feel or think deeply: either melt, wonder, be moved or inspired, or just be hugely entertained.
Have you ever skinny dipped before? – Almost.
And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog? – I think your blog is really good, and I am always a fan reader.

1.Which film would you hate to see remade?
Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, Gone with the Wind, The Godfather and Star Wars.
2.Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much?
I think trailers should give an indication of mood, quality of dialogue and performance and maybe a money shot. I think The Force Awakens and Suicide Squad trailers were good examples of trailers that did not give away the plot but got you excited about the type of film you would see. Also I think The Force Awakens was wonderfully meta about tapping into nostalgia. Other good trailers that come to mind are The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (remake), Argo, Flight and recently Sully.
3.What is your favourite sex position?
To watch or do?
4.What movie made you fancy one of its stars?
It’s probably well documented my admiration of Jennifer Garner and in particular she was kinda stunning in Daredevil. Yet Where the Heart is gave me a new appreciation for Natalie Portman back in 2001 but those women already destined for my Top 5. Perhaps a better example of this would be Lucia Moniz in Love Actually. That film made me fancy that woman. Not just in a basic animal sense either but a kind of awe for her beauty in those scenes.
5.Do you believe in reincarnation?
I believe in God but anything is possible.
6.What do you think is your best feature? My ass was the last thing to go. Now when somebody asks I just say my wife.
7.What is your favourite curse word?
Fuck and all its variations.
8.What for you makes a good movie?
If you can connect with the audience that is the key. Whether that is something insightful, ‘real’, funny, amusing, pretty, nostalgiac will depend. I’d like to think a good script with interesting characters, smart dialogue, evocative direction and something to say about the human condition will win on the day. But if you like Xanadu then you like Xanadu. Fuck anybody who judges you for that.
9.Have you ever skinny dipped before? I’ve done a nuddy run or two or three but no skinny dipping. I did strip down to my underwear at a big party and run around in those quite a bit. Nobody was impressed for some reason but I was when I made a jump from a balcony into the shallow end of a pool and survived.
10.And finally, what would you like to see me cover on my blog? You’re doing such a great job Vinneh I’d just say keep up the good work. If you ever travel though and think you have something interesting to say about that I’d be curious to read that.

Thanks for the opportunity to use that punchline for the sex question. I couldn’t resist. I’m now part of an ongoing relationship so I don’t really want to discuss my current sex life as that has the potential to reflect on someone else but let’s say long ago in the distant past I would say that a woman’s back while riding in cowgirl position was something I always enjoyed seeing. For the actual deed I must insist variety is the spice of life but the intimacy and comfort of missionary was always a favourite during that time. As for whether my tastes have changed well I’m afraid the answer to that will remain the sole knowledge of my beloved.

Do you think that trailers are spoiling movies by revealing too much? Trailers annoy me in general. Sometimes they show all the good scenes and half the time what’s in the trailer isn’t even in the movie.
What is your favourite sex position? Sitting up facing each other, bodies pressed. Not sure it has a name.
What movie made you fancy one of its stars? Hmm…not sure. Well, I guess Robinhood made me fancy Alan Rickman, but maybe I liked him before that.
Do you believe in reincarnation? not really
What do you think is your best feature? my brain or my lips
