The saying goes that you can often get an inkling of someone through their writing. I do believe in this sentiment, but I’ve often wondered what impression my writing gives. Which is precisely why I decided to ask you all today, what is the impression of me you get from what I write on here? Does my personality shine through. Whatever your opinion, I welcome it. Below are some things that people who know me often describe me as or attribute to me;
- I’m tall and particularly skinny
- I can be quite shy when first meeting someone.
- Once I’m at ease, I’m often difficult to shut up.
- I care deeply about those closest to me.
- I am the king of doing whatever it takes to avoid things I don’t like.
- I have a cute bum.
- I’m very loyal as a friend.
- I can relate almost any situation to something filmic or cinematic.
And as I feel like being nice a photo of myself.
And on a side note, I promise that the next few days will be dedicated to catching up with all your blogs. Just had some busy stuff I’ve had to deal with. Fear not, I haven’t forgotten any of you.

My break was very nice, thanks for asking. Being friendly seems to be a trait of mine, I just enjoy chatting with others. Your comments were too lovely. I did do a post yesterday announcing my return with a naughty image.

I always got the impression that you were probably more open online, than in person. I suspect that the relative anonymity gives you the chance to be yourself more.
I’m guessing that you are very chatty too. Your comment strings are the longest I have seen on any blog.
You are always considerate with replies, and respectful to comments, and I am presuming that you are generally polite in company too. As to your writing about films (and Buns) I feel that you get across what you want to say very well, and take care and pride in your writing.

You are definitely right that my confidence is mainly online, but has been seen in my personal life too. Just a matter of gaining more gumption. I could chat for England. You make a lot of connections between events, characters and relationships in a film with common situations in life. Which is important, because if a film doesn’t connect with life, it’s not a film that would interest me.

Haha, I never have a clue about the person writing/ the author when reading something. Sure I build up something in my imagination but it has been wrong for at least 90% of the cases when I got to know the author later on!!
Anyhow one of the impressions I have is that you are more “outgoing and chatty” online, but then again many people are like that on the internet.
In the end reading your own description and the pic fit perfectly together with the text (in retrospect!!! as it also depends always on the topic you write on)

D all of the above. Is the photo of you is that when you were really young that you use as your avatar or profile picture? I think you should replace it with the picture you put above as your personality shines more through that picture and is more inviting. Just my opinion

I think that you are very perceptive and thoughtful. You express yourself very well using a variety of appropriate critical words rather than in cliches. I had thought you were older until I saw the picture. I thought you were a little more classy until I saw the naked bum picture! But then I am 70 and haven’t seen another man’s bum besides my husband’s in many many years.

I’ve always attempted to expand my vocabulary to sound more interesting. Haha, my naked bottom has been seen many times here. Though I’ve retired it for the time being. Hope that didn’t offend you.

So, there you are 😊 Cool to finally see a picture of one of my favorite bloggers. What I get through your writing is that there is this medium called film, and that you just love it, with a passion that rivals my own (in fact you ate even more passionate about it then I am) You are always kind, interesting to talk to, though I think you are also a bit like me, you find it easier to put thoughts to paper (or in this case online), than sharing deep thoughts in person. And you also have another passion that you share through your other blog (lol) which is cool as well 😊 I’m just glad to have found you through your blog. You have already become a good friend and if we were ever to meet in person I think we could talk for hours on end about movies 😀

I just really adore cinema from old to new, I like to be adventurous in my taste. No point in staying within one genre, it would get boring after a while. Thanks for the lovely words about the picture too.

Thanks for the picture; it’s always good to know what an online connection – even if it’s just a blogger whose writing you enjoy – looks like! I get the impression that you are a very sincere and moral person (and yes, I follow your naughty site too, LOL). I am rather ignorant about film in general and didn’t see much but have gotten much more interested in the past few years, so your posts are great. But I’m the opposite of you, much less chatty online (and not very knowledgeable), so I don’t post often. But I am reading!

First, although I’ve seen pics of you before Vinnie, and of course watched your video on YouTube, I really love this phone. It’s like all your kindness is shining through! Before I look at what you’ve listed about yourself I’m going to share what I’ve surmised about you from your writing:
You’re extremely nice and very compassionate.
You’re absolutely passionate about everything to do with film.
You’re open to suggestions and willing to try new things.
You despise people being unkind and bullying.

Funny but I envisioned you VERY close to what you actually look like!! I am mostly wrong so that was a treat! What a handsome young man you are! We are apparently quite alike except at 52 the bum now is a nope, skinny-big no but was, and only shy if in a large group..otherwise I’d talk anyone’s ears off :). Yes, I would describe you as fun loving, kind, good listener, intelligent and witty with an extreme love of cinema!

I’d imagine that you know a hell of a lot about cinema, that’s for certain. Other than that I honestly don’t know (I’m really bad with people soooo yeah… sorry).
