Suggestions

As I really love getting feedback off all of you fellow bloggers, I thought it was about time I set up a suggestions page. Here, you can drop me a comment with suggestions of movies or posts you think I should do. Believe me, I’ll take in consideration what you say and try to add some newer content to this blog. Anything( well almost anything) is up for suggestion, so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or two here.

  1. I’d like to see lists of your ten favourite films, year by year. Ten favourite actors, Directors…etc
How about a duelling movies debate? Similar films in the same genre, say , Apocalypse Now Vs. Platoon, The Godfather Vs. The Godfather Part 2, Frankie and Johnny Vs. When Harry Met Sally…

  2. This is a great idea for a page! How about a post about guilty pleasures? Movies that you know are pure garbage but you like them anyways.

  3. Good page idea 🙂
What do you think about a separate section for non-Hollywood movies? Do you want me to suggest a few from this part of the world, some time? 😀

  4. How about a recurring 70s porn slate of reviews : )

  5. Everyone loves lists, including moi, but I always prefer more lists that have explanations WHY the blogger select the particular item/scene/actor what have you instead of just images of them. I second that posts about guilty pleasures, that’s always fun to read 😀

  6. Anything is up for suggestion? Are you hinting?

    Haha 🙂

Only kidding, I like the idea of top 10s too! Also you review quite a few older films you don’t see all the time, definitely continue with those!!! Anything before 1965 I suppose?

Just seen that very nice conversation about me too haha, I’m sure it’s not true but I look forward to the Rubber review!!! 😀

  7. Although, it’s not a suggestion of a movie, but rather something else… I just recently shot a short film written and directed by myself and I was wondering would you like to do a small interview and share it on your blog to your fellow readers?

  8. Well my suggestion is for vinn to also start watching some “naturist” movies and films, as they are also out there and on the internet.

Okay, that is my suggestion for your suggestion page. Get a Twitter account and when you post a blog entry, send it on your twitter, as well. Actually, that’s how I read the blog entries – from my Twiiter feed. I very rarely look at my WordPress Reader.

      • I will look into it thanks for your suggestion Gary. I’ve just got a lot of things to do at the minute, so it may be a while before I set one up.

  13. Hey V-man, spent this evening watching Pitch Black on the SyFy channel. I love SyFy stuff, but good quality stuff, and Pitch Black is a stunner. Seen it a long time ago, but great to catch it tonight. Vin Deisel at his most gorgeousness and the aliens scary as fook! Time you saw this!

  14. I have been following your blog for a while now and I am not a prude by any means, but the comments on RoseMcGowan’s birthday from “slutty Girl” or whatever……….are really not for general reading . There are avenues for this nonsense elsewhere on the ‘net and you should really have some sort of screening process for this kind of tripe. I know it’s a free world vinnieh, but come on man!!!!

My favorite part of blogging is coming up with new ideas for posts. After an idea pops into my head I go looking for ‘source’ material. Here is an example from a Wikipedia page called ‘1965 in Film’: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1965_in_film. There are literally tons of stuff you can do with all of this info. Of course, me being the simple minded pervert that I am, I’m going to do a post on the Sexiest Women of Film, 1965. I’ll just post a bunch of pictures of their boobs or something. You, however, seem like the type that might say something intelligent regarding this source material. The point I’m trying to make is that the internet is a great place to inspire ideas. Ideas that you can make your own and publish.

  25. Hey Vinnie…quick question…when you started your other “naughtier” blog, did you just add a site to your current blog or is it totally separate, different login, mail etc?

Not sure if you’ve done either of these already. I’d love some posts where you discuss your favourite characters from film and TV.

I’d also love to read a review from you about the TV series Millennium. It was created by Chris Carter (The XFiles)and starred Lance Henriksen as Frank Black, an FBI profiler. The series is very creepy and if you love the supernatural, this should be right up you street.

    Hello Vinnieh,

Hope this message finds you well.

I’m a Malaysian film director currently residing in Beijing, China. I’ve got a directorial debut short film (The Story of 90 Coins) which I would like to share with you. Inspired by a true story; the story of a promise, misunderstanding and regret.

The film is currently getting about 50+ accolades from international film festivals; which includes the Best Foreign Short & Best Actress at Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards, Best Drama & Best Cinematography at Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Foreign Short Film at Ukrainian International Short Film Festival, Rising Star Awards at Canada International Film Festival, an Official Finalist at London Film Awards, among others.

Below is the relevant info on my short film.

  29. Hello, I know I’m new to following your post and this may be a little early to offer a suggestion but I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read–so here goes: A Face In the Crowd. It’s a fascinating film–very apropos for the world we live in. If you haven’t seen it, don’t let the Andy Griffith casting throw you–he’s awesome here. Happy New Year!

  30. Hi Vinnieh. Please consider doing a review of my first e-published novel, called “(Once in a) Blue Agave Moon”
I posted info about it on my blog site. It is available on Amazon, and others, but if you would review it, I’d gladly send you a copy of the Galley Proof. For some reason, I haven’t been able to activate my discount coupons yet, but the ads only startedd today, and it’s only $1.99.
    Good to see you back.
