I’ve recently begun watching the iconic series The Twilight Zone and now can most definitely say I’m a fan. It shall be reviewed on this blog shortly once I finish Season 1. I can’t wait to review it as I’m only a few episodes in, but completely hooked. So who else is a fan of the Rod Serling series that took us to the fantastical but also held deep messages and themes?
Who’s a Fan of The Twilight Zone?

Me me me. I grew up watching creepy Twilight Zone on Sunday afternoons. I have a nice box set with the first season and a book about the entire series, every episode in detail. Have you got to the Shatner episodes yet?

I’m only on early episodes but they are rather impressive. Both creepy and eye opening.

As you know from my email, I watched all the episodes aired in Britain, back in the day. I always enjoyed it, especially Rod’s intros! 🙂
Cheers, Pete.

He’s a great narrator and writer. Perfectly sets the tone between strangeness and reality. Can’t wait to do my review, it’ll be in a different style because there are so many episodes.

I’d been meaning to watch The Twilight Zone for years, and finally started last year, spurred on by the new version with Jordan Peele. I haven’t watched the new one yet, but I’ve been really enjoying the classic episodes. It’s an incredible show — holds up really well even all these decades later.
If you’ll excuse a bit of self-promotion, I’ve reviewed a bunch of the best episodes (26 so far) on my blog in these posts.

I love The Twilight Zone as a kid and have always wanted to revisit it. So many shows try to emulate it, but few have ever come close, except perhaps for Black Mirror. It’d be interesting to see which your favourite stories are!

It definitely makes a case for being the best TV show ever. I got my daughters to watch a couple of episodes recently and they’re hooked. What other show from 1960 can hold the attention of YouTube obsessed 7-9 year olds?

You make a very compelling point. Only a show of great magnetism could do it.

I still get chills thinking of that opening into THE TWILIGHT ZONE. We watched it as a family every week on our black and white television with a rooftop antenna.

Love it to death. Here is the thing Rod Sterling was tired to write the episodes so he was surprise that other writers was on the same page as him writing the same way and have the same imagination as him. When the series was over he end up teaching writing at a university.

I’ve been a huge fan since I discovered the show late one night in 1989, when I was 13. The episode was “You Drive,” and I still find it intensely creepy.
