Due to the fact that my next few reviews will be of Knives Out and Clue, plus maybe some more films of the genre, I decided to ask about the topic of murder mysteries. Any fans out there? This can be in literature television or movies. I know itโs a popular genre, so enlighten me with your thoughts.
I’m a big fan of Suchet as Poirot on TV, also Rowan Atkinson as Maigret in the TV specials.
That’s a start. ๐
Cheers, Pete.

Absolutely one of my favorite genres! I’m always in for a good whodunnit! Clue and Murder By Death top the list for me.

I love whodunits. I’m a HUGE Christie and Sherlock Holmes fan! (I’ve read all the Arthur Conan Doyle stories about Holmes and almost all Christie’s books). Favorite Holmes adaptions: British TV series with Jeremy Brett and Murder by Decree (1979). Favorite Christie adaptations: Billy Wilder’s Witness for the Prosecution, And Then There Were None (1945) and Murder on the Orient Express (1974).
I also like offbeat whodunits: The Last of Sheila (1973) (a fun homage to Christie) and Zero Effect (1998) (an eccentric tribute to Sherlock Holmes).

TV wise Columbo and Inspector Morse. Book wise always Sherlock Holmes, (though Sherlock is great)
