I just saw the sad news that Rutger Hauer has died aged 75. Looking through his credits you can see just what a talented guy he was. He’ll be missed by so many, though we have his great movies to remember him by.
Yeah, I heard this news earlier this evening. Really sad about it. He was one of my countries greatest actors. So many great and good roles he played, though I will never forget his part in Bladerunner.
He was an actor of such singular intensity that he could either leave you feeling absolute awe or utterly unsettled. Between Blade Runner and The Hitcher, he became a cinematic icon that defined the anti-hero for a generation.

Very sad. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy too. I know Blade Runner is his most famous, but he was incredible in The Hitcher. Just astonishing.
