I wanted to let you all in on something that I plan to do revolving around movies and my blog. Lately, I have noticed that I never seem to get the new releases when they come out, only a few times have I done this. Now I believe it is time for me to watch more recent movies and blog about them. I will still review films from many different eras but I wanted to let you all in on the change. So from now on I will attempt to go the cinema at least once a month to see a new release. What does everyone make of this idea?

I want to be a bit more up to date with what I watch. That doesn’t mean I won’t watch older movies, but I just want to be able to discuss newer releases.

I think that you will enjoy the new releases too, but they might take a while for me to get around to catching up with them, as my nearest ‘decent’ cinema is 20 miles away, so I never go.
Always good to freshen up the blog with something new anyway.

I want to strike a balance between newer and older movies Pete. And it will be good to converse with others about newer movies rather than just waiting for the DVD.

Whatever keeps you interested in writing here is probably a good thing.
I never like covering new stuff because there is such a glut of content on it that I feel like everything becomes white noise.
Still, where I don’t watch much new content (I go out to the movies maybe once a year), it’s nice to have a few filters to let me know what might be worth the time.

Exactly …. she was a wise old woman… But, in her younger hay days, she use to model bra’s in a department store in Los Angeles, before meeting my grandfather.. Awesome lady she was….

She sounds like quite a woman. Good for her on modelling bras. I think my Grandma once modelled swimwear. I often forget she was young once.

Always good to get new movie reviews in so i know if I want to spend my cash or not… 😆 but at the same time you could maybe review new dvd releases, might be cheaper for yr poor wallet 😆

I like to think my blog celebrates a wide variety of films from across the decades. I just really felt I needed to see more newer movies sooner than I usually do.

I think it’s a great idea! I don’t go to the cinema, so it would be great to hear what you think of newer films so I know whether to add them to my Netflix ‘to watch’ list!

I like your style, V-man. Always looking to grow and improve. That’s a good idea. And going to the cinema more often is only a good thing. I realised that I needed to start catching movies when they come out so I decided to keep my ‘reviews’ section to only movies of the current year. I discuss past movies in the other sections!

Grow and improve is exactly what I want to do here. I love to catch up on older movies, but a new one every now and then would be great.

I’m making it a priority to update my newer content quota on here. I want to keep a balance between older and newer movies.

Good idea man. It’s something I need to do as well. I don’t have the time, or the funds to see new films regularly. It’s annoying because there’s always so many new releases I want to see straight away.
