I got the idea to do a post in which my fellow bloggers ask me questions on whatever topic they choose(as long as it’s nothing offensive) from reading a similar post from the cool dude Diego. So with this post, I hope you all get a better understanding of me and it gives you the opportunity to ask me some interesting posts. So whatever questions, movie related or not that you have, ask away. I promise to answer you all. Ask away people, I have a feeling this post will be fun.
Hey vinnieh, When did you start getting interested in film or film reviewing?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thanks for commenting Jason. Well from a very young age I always loved cinema. My late grandfather was a big cinema lover and as I got older he introduced me to classic films of old and opened my eyes. As for movie reviewing, this site began as something I had to do for a college project that showed what we were passionate about. And I decided to carry the blog on because it is so much fun.

Great idea Vinnie! Okay. So I know your a supreme movie buff, but naturally I have to include books too so here’s my question: Is there any movie that you’ve loved so much that you had to read the book as well?

Hi Kim. I loved the movie The Railway Children, it always makes me feel like a child again. I saw the movie first and then found the book which was equally as enchanting.

I gobbled up Edith Nesbit’s books when I was young and I loved the book. I didn’t know they made a movie adaptation though. I’m going to have to look this up.🙋🏻

That’s a really good question Rob. Erm I think anything goes unless the question is insulting or offensive towards me. Fire away Rob, I trust you as a blogger and friend.

here we go…
1) whats your favorite go-to feel good movie that always cheers you up no matter the circumstances?
2) what got u into blogging about movies?
3) Do you have a favorite film from your youth that you don’t wanna watch again in order to not ruin the magic of ur memories?
4) What genre do you absolutely hate?
5) Do you prefer to watch a movie by yourself or with a group? theater experience or at home?
and finally
6) How come you don’t participate in my Genre Grandeur series? (Just kidding, that was mean and probably too personal, no need to answer)

1. Chicken Run always cheers me up.
2. I always loved discussing movies and descriptive writing so I decided to put the two together.
3. I’m quite the opposite, I love to watch movies from when I was younger. If the movie is good, I don’t think it will age.
4.I wouldn’t say I necessarily hate any specific genre, but the spoof genre is something that more often than not rubs me up the wrong way.
5. I think the cinema is the best way to experience movies, but the comfort of home is also enjoyable.
6. I’m not offended at all at the question no worries, I’ll be sure to take part in one of the future installments, it’s all about get the right time.
Thanks for the questions Rob.

I find the visual representation of a story fascinating. There’s something about bringing an idea to the screen and letting the ideas flow. I’m a huge lover of cinematography and music, as they really set a mood. I love to observe different acting styles of actors and actresses to see how they play things.

Our question of the week on our podcast is: what is the WORST M. Night Shyamalan movie?
And my question on the site today is: why is Miles Teller working so much more than Michael B. Jordan?

I found The Village extremely underwhelming and illogical. And with regards to Teller and Jordan, maybe Teller’s agents keeps giving him a lot of scripts and he’s accepting them. He seems to have been in a lot of movies lately.

Ooh, I like random question posts! A question I always ask a new class of children, regardless of age is, who would win in a fight, bear or lion (and why)?
Also, is there a single scene (TV or film) that stands out to you, that you’d happily play on loop?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think a lion would win because it could move about a bit quicker and jump. And I could play the wedding scene from The Godfather on loop, superlative and sublime movie making.

Good choice (especially Team Lion…they’re my reasons too!) And extra points (if points were being given) for the use of sublime. Love that word 🙂

Haha, hmmm… Okay, if given the choice, would you wear the skin of an actress for a day, (who would you choose?) and if so, which part of her body would you most like to experience? I ask this as I know you can happily appreciate both male and female forms, so don’t think it’s something you’d be weirded out by (I hope)!

Hey dude, this a cool feature to have on your blog yo. Okay, I’m going to try and ask some decent questions, I hope they aren’t too boring though haha. So:
1) How old are you? (I’ve always wanted to know because you seem fairly young to me haha)
2) What’s your favourite film genre?
3) What’s your favourite TV show?
4) Since I’ve seen your reviews on Buffy I wanted to know how much you really like that show?
5) What’s your views on film scores (you know soundtracks made by composers)?
I think that’s all I’ve got for now. 😛

5. I love movie scores, for me they can really enliven a movie.

What era has the greatest films? Has CGI benefited the film industry or cheapened it? Are the certifications too low for films these days? Who is the most overrated actor/actress? What do you like about going to the cinema?

Great questions. In my opinion, the 70’s and 90’s have the best movies. In some respects CGI has cheapened it, but with certain films has helped. I do think that some movies are rated a bit too low as of late. I’ll have to get back to you on the overrated question. I enjoy the feeling of seeing something on a big screen when I go the cinema.
