Now this post has a personal tone to it. I wanted to discuss a song that holds a special place in my heart. The song is question is Fighter by Christina Aguilera. Here’s where the personal part comes in. When I was growing up, I suffered a large amount of bullying throughout school. I never understood why I was bullied because I was just being me and never wanted any confrontation. I’m happy to report that once I got to college, my confidence flourished and I found people who I could trust. The song in question was one I would listen to through the hard times and take notice of it’s message that you will become stronger. The anthem is very personal to me as it taught me that I could become a stronger person and emerge on the other side. That is why I find the song inspiring and the message of it still resonates with me today.

And I’ve always thought this was Christina’s best song 🙂 I have it on my Spotify! It’s actually really good for working out too as well, but I only work out about once every 10 years 🙂

I’m glad I came out the other side. It was in college that I started this blog and my confidence just continued to grow. This song is so powerful and the message is so potent.

I’m so sorry for what you went through Vinnie. Like Emma I despise bullying. I also don’t think adults take it seriously enough even now. Anyway, I’m so happy you persevered. And what a great choice for a song. 🙂

My mum, dad and brother helped me through the dark times and did what they could. My family was the rock that held me together. The way I see it, I’m a better person now who has a lot more confidence.

This is such a great story Vin, sad to hear of your troubles in School but who’s laughing now eh! You’ve got hundreds of friends now who you actually talk to on a daily basis, unlike those morons in school who have a handful of friends that they actually like on Facebook! You go get ’em brother

Her voice in this song is extraordinary and the video’s message abs style are great. Love the metaphor of her evolving into something stronger. I’ve managed to put a lot of those bad experiences in the past and look to the future.

I think the best people all get bullied at some stage. I had no friends in primary school. No one would even eat lunch with me. I am still not sure why. Coming out the other end stronger is the most important thing.

Such a special song and I’m glad you pulled through it Vinnie! Music can be such a source of strength in tough times. My inspiring song was ‘Stronger’ by Britney Spears. I really didn’t like any of her other songs and I never admitted that I loved it, but that one song really helped out.

Believe me, they do. Two guys that used to bully me are now in rehab clinics and three of the most pop and hateful girls already have babies and no prospects of a degree. What goes around, comes around 😏
