I was recently asked about who my dream cast for a movie would be and it really got me thinking. So for today’s post I’m going to list 5 actors and actresses who I would put in a movie if I could. Hope you all enjoy.
Al Pacino:
He has been one of my cinematic idols for years and is super talented. He may have not been in much recently, but his work still stands up so well. To have an actor like him on a set really raises the bar in terms of performances.
Judi Dench:
A national treasure of talent and wit, Judi Dench is a force to be reckoned with. With her iconic voice giving life to the words she speaks and a glint in her eye, Dench never fails to amaze me.
Kevin Bacon:
This man literally lights up the screen with his presence and versatility. From affable and charming to frightening and chilling, Bacon is an actor I hugely admire and would be happy to have in a cast.
Monica Bellucci:
The beautiful and talented Monica Bellucci has that ability to say so much without words and it really grips from the movies I’ve seen her in. None of her work ever feels forced or histrionic, it’s very calm but speaks volumes about the characters in the most expressive way.
Natalie Portman:
An intelligent performer of depth, Natalie Portman exudes a sense of confidence and maturity that is hard to resist. She takes risks in her work and is able to burrow into the character’s head with acute observations. It would be an honor to have Miss Portman in a movie.
So what does everyone think of my dream movie cast?

That’s an interesting selection, V. What sort of film could you see them appearing in together, I wonder? (As long as Bacon was serious, he’s at his best without the crazy smile…)
Best wishes, Pete.

So who would you like to play you Vinnie, in your life story? 😉

Natalie Portman always delivers in her movies. I would have either Chris Hemsworth or Matt Bomer to play me in a movie, it would make me look more handsome than how I look, hehe.

So, you know what I said about how creative you are Vinnie? Well, I’m going to repeat that. What a fabulous idea! I love your list even if it doesn’t have Matthew Bomer on it! 🤔 I’ve loved Kevin Bacon since I first saw Footloose so many years ago. He really can play any role. Have you seen him as the tortured Ryan Hardy in The Following? The 3rd and last season wasn’t very good, but the first two were brilliant!

I recently wrote a story styled after the Hammer Films movie, Hound of the Baskervilles, called ‘Curse of the Crimson Queen’. When writing, I pictured all the characters being played by famous Hammer actors from the late 60’s early 70’s, which included Peter Cushing, Veronica Carlson, Michael Ogilvy, David Warner and Ingrid Pitt. It really helped me write this Jack the Ripper style story, set in the late 1800’s. It is yet unpublished but I may look into self releasing it because it’s longer than a short story, perhaps Novella length 🙂

Okay. Pacino, married to Bellucci, is having an affair with Portman. Her husband, Bacon, finds out and is about to confront Pacino when Dench stops him.
Portman is a spy (Dench being the head of her department) and Bellucci is suspected of terrorist involvement. Portman is the only way to get close enough to Monica’s personal life to uncover key intel. Pacino really does fall in love with Portman but Natalie, despite he carnal involvement, loves Kevin.
Now Kevin knowing what his wife is doing must pretend he has no clue. It puts a terrible strain on him and their marriage. Portman is torn with guilt and shame betraying Kevin’s love.
Eventually, Bellucci confronts Portman revealing she’ll have Kevin killed if Natalie doesn’t assist in Dench’s death. Bellucci brings a convincing tale of revenge using the terrorist intel to lure an agent for this very purpose.
In reality, it is a plot to remove Dench and have her replaced with a hand-picked double agent. Portman honestly believes the revenge motive and, angry at Dench for this assignment and the risk to Kevin’s life, decides…
