With 007 doing well at the box office once more with Spectre, I thought I should do another question post revolving around Bond. Today, it is the locations that I want to discuss. Over more that 50 years, Bond has ventured to many exotic and breathtaking locations to do battle with evil. So today I want to ask, which location sticks in your mind? Whatever your opinion, feel free to leave it.
Lots to choose from, but I’ll go with outer space in “Moonraker”. Not necessarily my favorite Bond film, but outer space is a pretty cool location. 😃

Neat choice of an unusual but thrilling location.

‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ The SCHILTHORN, which is actually a revolving restaurant on top of the Alps. And I’ve had my breakfast there LOL

That’s so cool that you’ve had your breakfast there.

My wife got drunk on one glass of champagne (the altitude) then tried to push me off the top, when I told her I’d seen a fox. Which I had.

Got to be the MI6 building on the Thames embankment at Vauxhall. Love that building, even though I can’t stand the film(s)!
Cheers mate. Pete.

I’d love to do that in the future as a reenactment of Bond.

Great post here man, and what a ton of places to choose from! One of my favorite locations has got to be Montenegro, from Casino Royale. what an absolutely gorgeous and exotic place to shoot. Such sophistication and glamor; the epitome of James Bond in my eyes.

Certainly the epitome of glamour Tom. I’ll make sure to visit Montenegro in the future and rent a suave suit to wear.

And with that exotic notion in my head I must depart for sleep. It’s been great talking to you Tom, will catch up tomorrow. Now I’m off to dream of driving around Montenegro in an Aston Martin with a beautiful woman and champagne in the back.

What a great question Vinnie! Can I pick two? Montenegro from Casino Royale, and New Orleans from Live and Let Die.

Montenegro has been mentioned a good few times though I’m not surprised because it’s a beautiful location. New Orleans is fabulous as a Bond locale.

I would love to visit Montenegro someday. As far as New Orleans, I know it’s not the most exotic locale, but I’ve been fascinated with it ever since I saw Live and Let Die as a child.

Live and Let Die was the first Bond movie I saw and since then New Orleans has always seemed so fascinating,.

I saw the movie with my dad (who introduced me to Bond) and it’s always been one of my favorites. New Orleans is one of the the places I’d like to visit if I ever win the lottery. I’m reading a book right now that’s set in New Orleans so I’ll have to be content with that for now.

Bond movies hold such nostalgia for so many people. For me, it’s been ingrained since I was younger.

The classic island from Dr.No is like a whole different planet. Spectres sequence in Mexico was also among my favorite sets of the series. Lots of contenders.

Undoubtedly my favorite pretitle sequences. Arguably one of the greatest scenes in the 50+ years of Bond. It was that riveting.
