Magic Mike XXL picks up three years after the original movie and Mike (Channing Tatum) is out of the stripping game and running a furniture business. But life doesn’t always go according to plan and after speaking to old stripping pal Tarzan (Kevin Nash) Mike is tempted out for one last shebang with the Kings of Tampa.
So this isn’t a movie to be taken too seriously. It’s about male strippers for fuck’s sake – a subject that even in real life is often met with laughter. If you spy a leather-clad crotch gyrating to 80s rock music you can consider it a success. And when else could you say that?! At a Bon Jovi concert maybe but that’s the limit.

No problem there mate. It’s not really about the subject matter, just the bad acting, crap script, and the total pointlessness of it all. They could use the money, and some of the acting ‘talent’, and make something worth watching instead.

Sadly. Then so have the ‘Hangover’ films, and all the dross with Adam Sandler in it, and everything else that I think is awful. Just different points of view, I suppose. It makes me sad though, all those cinema-goers with no ambition other than to watch a load of crap as they munch popcorn and update their Facebook status…

Ems really out did herself with this one. 😊 I told her I had heard such bad reviews of this, I wasn’t going to bother with this, even for my Matthew and that yummy Joe, but I’m reconsidering now.
