Madonna turns 57 today. For decades, this one-woman show has been a powerhouse performer of undeniable ambition. Madonna has been one of my favourite singers for years and I’ve found her immense career extremely fascinating and influential. Well, I have to warn you it’ll probably be quite tame. Sorry Satrap.😕 I’m thinking of doing a 12 days of Christmas thing and tying some of my favorite actors to my favorite literary heroes.

I have loved Madonna since the first pop video I ever saw her in. She has changed her looks and style over the years, losing the softness and cuteness that originally attracted me to her. But she’s still pretty amazing for her age, and there are few 57 year-olds (women, or men) that can look that good. (She might be a little too muscly for me now, but what the hell…)

I’ve just found her constant reinventions so interesting and intriguing. Over the years her sound has evolved and she’s always one step ahead of the game, showing she’s still at the top of the podium.
