I’ve been thinking the last few days about the question I’m asking. I’ve noticed that my blog has become a bit more sexually charged lately and I just want to know whether all my loyal followers like it or not. Do you think I should tone it down? Do you like the naughty content of bodies and bums? Should I leave it as it is? Or should I go further and get more ribald? Whatever your take, I want to know as I trust all of your opinions.

I’m with everybody else. Do what you want, and if that includes more bodies or whatever, that’s fine. I don’t know why people get upset about seeing the human body – after all, everybody’s got one.

Meant to correct myself: that intro to Lost In Translation isn’t a pan. It’s just a stationary shot, staring at her butt. haha.
You know I often wonder if keeping our blog over at the KMA to music-only was limiting. I’ve no end of things to write about, as I hear a ton of music, but I see lots of movies, other interesting things that might also be fun to write about but never do because it doesn’t fit the format. You’ve allowed yourself the freedom to post whatever moves you, and that’s a freeing thing! Enjoy!

Thanks! Yeah, I monkey with the blog every now and again. Right now I’m doing weekly posts instead of daily which, I’ve discovered, leads me to hear and write more!
As for new things, I even wondered about adding the TBR-Aaron page at the top, which lists all the books I’ve read in a given year. I’m sure most people don’t care and don’t read it, so it’s more just a reminder to myself in case i go to the library and sign out a book that sounds really familiar to me as I start reading… Anyway, I wasn’t sure about even that, since it’s not music! Haha man.
Anyway, thanks I’ve enjoyed the conversation. Keep up the good work on your blog, and have fun!

No matter what I say it has already been said so I will say this: It’s your blog and as long as you are not hurting animals, babies or whatever cute, cuddly and ferocious thing you can think of then you do whatever the heck you want. The sexualized content isn’t my thing. But that’s why I have my own blog to put up what is me – and you put up on your own blog what’s you. Remember that you will never satisfy everyone, so don’t worry if a few people aren’t into it.
But honestly, it’s not about whether or not I like all the same shows, movies and humor as someone, but just about loving a person as Christ has called us to. You and I both like a lot of the same horror type movies, but I don’t like some of the other movies and TV shows you enjoy and write about; when you write about “Charmed” I’m not going to read it b/c I am not interested in that show at all. But just b/c people have different tastes doesn’t mean people can’t be friends and cool with another. We invest in people more so than things we have in common. if all we did was judge people based upon the movies we had in common, then that would be a very shallow existence.

I firmly believe that your blog should be how you want it. I’m not big on that particular stuff but I can always skip it and read the next post. You’ve always have plenty of great content. All of it doesn’t need to cater to my particular taste. It’s about YOUR taste. That is what makes it yours.

This reminds me of that scene in The Simpsons. Bart is talking about how he won’t take swimming trunks as the human body is a beautiful thing. Then Homer comes in and asks if his back is too hairy. In short, keep to the photogenic people and we’ll be fine!
More seriously, it’s your blog and you can always do what you like. Your raunchier posts certainly seem popular but even if they weren’t, always your call.

I have to say two things: 1) It’s not really been all that raunchy. We live in an age where the most famous lingerie company in the world has an annual fashion show on prime time TV and people aren’t considered indecent until their full genitalia is on display. 2) Besides, it’s not like you’re just throwing imagery up without context. Your messages have been positive. You’re not just offering eye candy for people to ogle… that’s my job. 😉
