Thanks to Luke for letting me take part in Question of the Month. People you should read this post, some really cool ideas on it.
Movies are leaping over to TV quite regularly now. Hannibal is an outstanding success. Bates Motel is apparently a worthy entry to the Psycho canon. Other movies are considering it, even if some of them don’t sound too appealing. I still can’t see how Scream is going to work as a series. But I thought it would be fun if I asked my fellow bloggers what should be next. Therefore, everyone put some answers together – mostly Nolan movies – and below are their verdicts.
ORACLE OF FILM – JURASSIC PARK
With Jurassic World coming up, fans all crowd into groups, reminiscing on what came before and wondering what the new movies will have in store for us. Instantly, we all jot down a mental list of what we want to see and what we think we should see. Please, bring the raptors back, but properly. Not the remastered ones…

Let me think. ‘Nikita’ – great Besson film, awful TV show. I’m trying to think of a film that I would like to see serialised, but can’t. There have been some reasonable efforts the other way round of course. Oldman was great as Smiley in ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy The best stuff should stay as it is. ‘The Killing’ was a great TV series, but why would I want to see it as a 2-hour film? Trying to string a great film into numerous episodes is a tricky area, and almost never works. ‘Terminator’ vs ‘Sarah Connor Chronicles’ TV show is a good example.
Maybe I’m just to old to play this game though. That has to be considered.
Best wishes as always, Pete.

I’d love to watch a show based on The Craft. I think the foundation is definitely strong enough to carry a series. Great idea!

A show based on “The Lincoln Lawyer” maybe. I loved the movie and it feels like it could be a show. And yes, the show should star Matthew McConaughey, just like the movie.

I hate tv. It annoys me having to keep up with so much. Movies are much better for the non-committal such as myself.
